Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a process and a device for cooling a chill roll (1) in a paper machine by means of liquid. The invention is characterised in that the increased energy consumption upon vaporisation of a liquid coolant (7) at the heat transfer locations of the part of the chill roll (1) to be cooled is used to obtain a particular, uniform temperature profile of the roll surface (4). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Kühlung einer Kühlwalze (1) einer Papiermaschine durch Flüssigkeit. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der erhöhte Energiebedarf eines flüssigen Kühlmittels (7) an den Wärmeübertragungsstellen des zu kühlenden Teils der Kühlwalze (1) beim Sieden dazu genutzt wird eine bestimmtes und gleichmäßiges Temperaturprofil der Walzenoberfläche (4) zu erhalten. <IMAGE>
