[origin: EP0567993A1] The invention discloses a thermosetting imide oligomer represented by the general formula (1A) or (1B) : <CHEM> wherein Ar1 indicates a tetravalent aromatic group, Ar2 indicates a divalent aromatic group, Ar1 and Ar2 can be of the same or different kind, the residues X which may be of the same or different kind are selected from the trivalent groups of the formulae <CHEM> n is an integer from 0 to 15, and R is a reactive substituent. The invention further discloses a method for manufacturing a heat resistant laminated sheet using the imide oligomer, which is excellent in heat resistance, hygroscopic resistance and electric properties.
