Abstract (en)
This vessel (18) contains a cathode (28) and an anode (30) which are secured inside the vessel. The vessel (18) is connected to a plant (10) making it possible to feed the vessel (18) with liquid effluents and to remove the liquid effluents from the vessel (18). The liquid effluents undergo electrolysis in the vessel (18). During the electrolysis the radioactive metal cations present in the effluents are deposited on the cathode (28). When the radiation dose rate emitted outside the vessel exceeds a predetermined threshold the vessel (18) is drained and is stored, the electrodes (28, 30) being left inside the latter. The organic molecules present in the effluents are destroyed after the electrolysis of the effluents by ozonization or incineration. <IMAGE>
