Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method for optimising the operation of an ink-jet printer equipped with a circuit for recovering the ink not used for printing, comprising a gutter (22) connected to a sealed reservoir (17) by means of a conduit (220) put under a vacuum by a volumetric pump (23), monitoring the ink flow in the conduit (220) by measuring the pressure (P) in the reservoir and commanding the operation of the pump either at its minimum suction rate compatible with the correct recovery of the ink or at its maximum suction rate in the event of recovery anomalies. It relates, furthermore, to an ink-jet printer making use of such a method. <IMAGE>
