[origin: WO9309992A1] Two wheel drive transmission system for bicycles or motorcycles. The transmission does not feature any chain wheel, chain, rear sprockets, derailleur, but comprises a 16 speed gear change located in the hub (0) of the pedal assembly, two drive shafts, one for the rear wheel and one for the front wheel, the movements of which are transmitted to the wheels by means of bevel gears and a free wheel mechanism for the rear wheel, and transmission gear wheels (11, 12 and 13), two shafts (24), conical bevel gears (15 and 16), a 'pseudo differential' and a free wheel mechanism for the front wheel. The transmission may not even include a universal joint. Application: especially for all terrain bicycles and motorcycles, and for racing motorcycles.

L'invention présentée ici concerne un ensemble de transmission à deux roues motrices pour bicyclettes et motocyclettes. Cette transmission ne contient ni plateau denté de pédalier, ni chaîne, ni pignons de chaîne arrière, ni dérailleurs, mais comprend une boîte de 16 vitesses logée dans le moyeu (0) du pédalier, 2 arbres de transmission (8), un pour la roue arrière et un pour la roue avant, dont les mouvements sont transmis aux roues par des pignons d'angle et roue libre pour la roue arrière, et pignons de renvoi (11, 12 et 13), deux arbres (14), pignons coniques (15 et 16), "simili-différentiel" et roue libre pour la roue avant. La transmission peut ne comporter aucun cardan. Le mécanisme selon l'invention est particulièrement destiné aux vélos et motos tout terrain ainsi qu'aux motos de compétition.
