The invention relates to a power circuit breaker having a latching mechanism with a switching-off spring which acts on a switching shaft, and to moving contact parts which are acted on by said switching shaft. In the off-direction of the switch, the switching shaft acts on contact links which are guided translationally in a separated manner and are spring-loaded in the closing direction, to be precise in such a manner that the force of the unstressed switching-off spring is as large as possible in the off-position as a result of the effective lever arm change, and the torque acting on the switching shaft is as small as possible in the on-position with a small lever arm, and the latching mechanism load and the necessary release forces are thus minimised as far as possible. <IMAGE>

Die Neuerung bezieht sich auf einen Leistungsschalter mit einem Schaltschloß mit Ausschaltfeder, das auf eine Schaltwelle einwirkt und von dieser beaufschlagbaren, beweglichen Kontaktteilen. Die Schaltwelle wirkt in Aus-Richtung des Schalters auf getrennt translatorisch geführte und in Schließrichtung federbelastete Kontaktbrücken, und zwar derart, daß durch Wirkhebelarmveränderung in der Aus-Stellung die Kraft der entspannten Ausschaltfeder möglichst groß und in der Ein-Stellung bei kleinem Hebelarm das auf die Schaltwelle wirkende Drehmoment möglichst klein ist und somit die Schaltschloßbelastung bzw. die notwendigen Auslösekräfte möglichst minimiert werden. <IMAGE>
