[origin: EP0569335A1] Holders (9) consisting of two plates (10) are mounted on a rotating chain (5). Bags (2) are inserted into the opened holders (9) at a feed station (13). The bags (2) are filled in a filling station (14) and sealed in a sealing station (16). In an unloading station (17), the finished bags (2) are unloaded. The device is a simple construction and is easy to maintain. It can be changed over to different bag formats quickly and requires little packaging material for a given bag content. <IMAGE>
