[origin: EP0569614A1] A hair removal apparatus is described, having a housing and a plurality of clamping bodies (18) which are arranged therein and to which hairs can be fed via an opening (13) in the housing and which, in the unloaded state, are spaced apart at least in the effective clamping region, the clamping bodies (18) being drivable in rotation. The hair removal apparatus has means which cause the clamping bodies (18) to be pressed against one another repeatedly, the means acting on at least one of the outer clamping bodies (18). The clamping bodies (18) are mounted on an axis of rotation (16), are arranged on the axis of rotation (16) so that they can be tilted towards one another and are grouped together by a holding means (14) to form a unit which can be rotated about the axis of rotation (16). <IMAGE>
