[origin: EP0569655A1] The material used for the nozzle tip (2) of the injector nozzle (1) is a mechanically highly alloyed chromium-nickel steel. The steel contains carbon, aluminium, titanium, iron, oxygen, nitrogen and yttrium oxide as admixtures. The nozzle tip (2) of the injector nozzle (1) has about twice the useful life in the aggressive, chemical and thermal environment of the combustion chamber of internal-combustion engines such as diesel engines, compared to previously known nozzle tips (2) for injector nozzles (1). <IMAGE>
