[origin: EP0569867A1] The invention relates to a rail construction consisting of the rail track (1) with fastening means (2), sleepers (3) made of wood, concrete or the like as well as the ballast bed (4), on which the sleepers are mounted. The essential feature of the invention consists in that there is arranged on the underside (8) of the sleepers an elastic base (5) which essentially consists of two layers (6, 7), the layer (6) facing the underside (8) of the sleepers being an elastomeric material, while the layer (7) surrounded by the ballast bed (4) is a fleece material. <IMAGE>
