[origin: EP0569870A1] The device comprises a pivot pin (6) integral with one bed component (7) having a substantially elliptical transverse section defining minimum dimensions (d) and maximum dimensions (D). A seating (8) defined by an engagement element (9) carried by a second bed component (10) has a circular profile the diameter (D') of which is equal to the maximum dimensions (D) and broken by a substantially rectilinear access opening (14) having substantially the same width (d') as the minimum dimensions (d). The pivot pin (6) can be removably engaged in the seating (8) in a radial direction and according to a predetermined orientation in order to connect the first component (7) to the second component (10) in such a way as to enable a rotation of predetermined amplitude. <IMAGE>
