[origin: EP0569871A1] A plurality of bedposts (20) is connected to a perimetric bedframe (2) by one or more extruded section members (6) each fastened at its ends and by appropriate fastening means (9), to the longitudinal members (3) of the frame. Each section member (6) having an inverted-U shape in section exhibits, at the lower part thereof, a pair of main wings (17) from which two opposite wings (18) extend and define a main T-shaped guide groove (16) housing the head (24a) of one or more threaded connecting rods (24) for fastening of respective bedposts (20). Formed in a vertically disposed end portion (8) of the section member (6) is a grooved seating (27) arranged to receive a drawer (28) or other similar accessories to be associated with the bedframe (2). A second grooved seating (32) is located at the upper part of the section member (6) and is designed to rotatably engage a pivot element (34) carried by an adjustable reclining head of the bed (33) or other accessories. <IMAGE>
