[origin: EP0569876A1] The frames of the facade elements, abutting at a corner, form expansion spaces between them which are divided, by vertical sealing strips (12) and horizontal sealing strips (13), into an interlocking-side part (15) and a building-side part (14). Water penetrating into the latter is channelled off in divisions into the interlocking-side expansion-space parts (15) and thus onto the outer side of the facade. This is achieved in that water flows out of the vertical expansion-space parts (14), and on inclined surfaces (20, 24) according to the dot sequence A in said parts, through openings (25) into vertical channels (19), at the lower ends of which said water is deflected, on a profile shoulder (13.1) of the horizontal sealing strip (13), into the interlocking-side part (15) of the expansion spaces. <IMAGE>
