[origin: EP0569888A1] An abrasive-blasting system for elongate structural parts (9), such as beams, weldments or the like, has an abrasive-blasting booth (1), a conveying device (2), which conveys the structural parts essentially through the abrasive-blasting booth, centrifugal wheels, which are arranged above and beneath said conveying device and the abrasive-medium jets of which are directed towards the passing structural part, and at least one deflection device (18) which is assigned to at least one centrifugal wheel and deflects the abrasive-medium jet (14, 15) thereof. In order effectively to blast the upstream and downstream end sides of the structural part or flange plates arranged there, the invention provides that the deflection device can be adjusted between a rest position outside the abrasive-medium jet (16, 17) and an active position which deflects said jet, with respect to the vertical, in the conveying direction (22), and that there is provided at least a second deflection device (18) which can be adjusted between a rest position outside the abrasive-medium jet (14, 15) and an active position which deflects said jet, with respect to the vertical, counter to the conveying direction (22). <IMAGE>
