[origin: EP0569933A1] A packaging machine with a frame (1) and a station (4) carried by the frame, an evacuating and sealing station (5) and cutting station (6) and a conveyor apparatus (41, 42) for guiding the material web (43) through the machine is provided. The work stations are adjusted in dependence on a predetermined desired value of the repeats on the material web. During operation, the problem is that the repeat length differs from the desired value. So that a perfect pack can be produced in spite of such differences, there is provided in the packaging machine a drive (52, 53, 54) for moving at least the evacuating and sealing station (5) relative to the location of the shaping station (4) and relative to a desired position. <IMAGE>
