The invention relates to a guard for planing machines for the jointing and surfacing of workpieces (48) made of wood, with a member for covering the cutter block (34), which member is attached to one side of the machine bed in a vertically movable manner. The cover member consists of a cover strip (30) which is mounted in a guide member in such a way as to be horizontally displaceable against a pressing force acting in the direction of a jointing stop (36). Here, the cover strip (30) has the double function of covering the cutter block in every position during jointing as well as during surfacing and at the same time of exerting a certain applied pressure to the workpiece (48) during jointing. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Schutzeinrichtung für Hobelmaschinen zum Fügen und Abrichten von Werkstücken (48) aus Holz mit einem Organ zum Abdecken der Messerwelle (34), das höhenbeweglich an einer Seite des Maschinenbettes angebracht ist. Das Abdeckorgan besteht aus einer Abdeckleiste (30), die in einem Führungsorgan gegen eine in Richtung auf einen Fügeanschlag (36) wirkende Andruckkraft horizontal verschiebbar gelagert ist. Die Abdeckleiste (30) hat hierbei die doppelte Funktion, in jeder Arbeitsposition sowohl beim Fügen als auch beim Abrichten die Messerwelle abzudecken und beim Fügen gleichzeitig einen bestimmten Anpreßdruck auf das Werkstück (48) auszuüben. <IMAGE>
