Depending on the type of installation and traffic loading, manhole covers and road gratings are equipped with or without damping inlay strips (10) which are inserted into corresponding grooves (6) in the cast-iron body of the frame (1) and/or in the manhole cover or grille (3). For both types of construction, separate patterns or carcase parts are necessary which are machined at varying points. According to the invention, uniform carcase parts are proposed for both embodiments, which are machined in such a way and are dimensioned with regard to the height of the inlay strips (10) and the depth of the grooves (6) in such a way that, with damping inlay strips (10), the manhole cover or inserted grille (3) moves into the flush zero position and without damping inlay strips (10) it moves into an at most slightly projecting installation position. <IMAGE>

Schachtabdeckungen und Straßenaufsätze sind je nach Einbauart bzw. Verkehrsbelastung mit oder ohne dämpfende Einlegestreifen (10) ausgestattet, die in entsprechende Nuten (6) der gußeiseren Zarge des Rahmens (1) und/oder des Schachtdeckels bzw. Rostes (3) eingelegt sind. Für beide Bauformen sind getrennte Modelle bzw. Rohbauteile nötig, die an wechselnden Stellen bearbeitet werden. Erfindungsgemäß werden für beide Ausführungsformen einheitliche Rohbauteile vorgeschlagen, die so bearbeitet und hinsichtlich der Höhe der Einlegestreifen (10) und der Tiefe der Nuten (6) so bemessen werden, daß der Schachtdeckel bzw. Einlegerost (3) mit dämpfenden Einlegestreifen (10) in die bündige Nullage und ohne dämpfende Einlegestreifen (10) in höchstens geringfügig überstehende Einbaulage kommt. <IMAGE>
