The invention relates to a method for pneumatic weft-thread insertion on jet looms, according to which the weft threads of predetermined length, after being released by a thread stopper, are inserted by main nozzle into the weft-thread insertion channel of a reed, and by relay nozzles which are arranged over the weaving width and which load the head region of the respective weft thread progressively by means of a pneumatic transport medium in the manner of a travelling wave for transporting the weft thread and thus transport the weft thread through the weft-thread insertion channel at an air-flow speed building up a thread pulling force, the weft thread being drafted before being beaten up against the fabric. The method is characterised in that the air-flow speed (VL), causing the weft-thread insertion, of the travelling wave for transporting the weft thread is reduced in the final phase of weft-thread insertion, and thereupon, as a result of a renewed generation of the air-flow speed (VL), a travelling wave for tensioning the weft thread takes effect on the inserted weft thread. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum pneumatischen Schußfadeneintrag auf Luftdüsenwebmaschinen, wonach die Schußfäden vorbestimmter Länge nach dem Freigeben durch einen Fadenstopper von einer Hauptdüse in den Schußfadeneintragskanal eines Webblattes eingetragen und durch über die Webbreite angeordnete Stafettendüsen, die den Kopfbereich des jeweiligen Schußfadens mittels pneumatischen Transportmediums fortschreitend, in der Art eines Schußfadentransportwanderfeldes beaufschlagen und somit den Schußfaden durch den Schußfadeneintragskanal mit einer eine Fadenzugkraft aufbauenden Luftströmungsgeschwindigkeit transportieren und wobei der Schußfaden vor dem Anschlagen an das Gewebe gestreckt ist. Gekennzeichnet ist das Verfahren dadurch, daß die den Schußfadeneintrag bewirkende Luftströmungsgeschwindigkeit (VL) des Schußfadentransportwanderfeldes in der Endphase des Schußfadeneintrages reduziert wird und daraufhin durch erneutes Erzeugen der Luftströmungsgeschwindigkeit (VL) ein Schußfadenspannwanderfeld auf dem eingetragenen Schußfaden wirksam wird. <IMAGE>
