[origin: EP0570760A1] A closure cap having a separate tamper indicating element made of plastic consists of a tamper indicating ring and a tear-off ring which is connected to said tamper indicating ring via tear-off webs, the tamper indicating element being engageable on the closure cap, and the tear-off ring engaging over a transfer ring of the bottle to be closed when the assembled closure cap is screwed on and resting with an annular shoulder against said transfer ring from the underside. To achieve defined tear-off characteristics of the webs and precise positioning of the tear-off ring relative to the transfer ring, provision is made for a plurality of centring knobs (23) to be arranged on the tear-off ring (18), distributed around its circumference, said centring knobs (23) projecting beyond the annular shoulder (24) of the tear-off ring (23), which annular shoulder faces the inside of the closure cap and rests against the transfer ring (7), and resting from the outside at least against the widest point of the transfer ring (7). <IMAGE>
