Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a system for loading ammunition, such as telescopic ammunition, into a pivoting chamber (1) of a weapon, particularly of a weapon of medium calibre. The system comprises a feed device (A; A1) which is integral with the oscillating mass (MO) of the weapon, is offset laterally relative to the barrel (2) of the weapon and is located between the pivot axis (X-X) of the weapon and the pivoting chamber (1), and a device (I) for introducing ammunition (200) into the chamber (1), which device is integral with the recoiling mass (MR) of the weapon, is located above the barrel (2) and is substantially in the vertical pivoting plane of the chamber (1), the ammunition being conveyed from the feed device (A1) to the introduction device (I) by a feed star (40) mounted rotatably about the barrel (2) of the weapon. <IMAGE>
