Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0571321A2] The window frame is made up of frame legs (1, 2) which each have a rebated part (1.1, 2.1) on their inner sides. The frame legs (1, 2) are connected to one another in each corner of the frame via a wedge-type finger-jointed portion (3, 4) in each case. The section (3), of said finger-jointed portion, located in the region of the rebated parts (1.1, 2.1) runs approximately in a mitred manner. Each wedge-type finger-jointed portion (3, 4) contains, adjoining the mitred section (3), in each case a section (4) which runs tangentially thereto in an arcuate manner. The arcuate section (4) extends over an angle ( alpha ) of approximately 45 DEG . The outer end, located in the outside surface (A) of one frame leg (2), of the wedge-type finger-jointed portion (3, 4) is essentially perpendicular to said outside surface (A). This avoids any displacements in the wedge-type finger-jointed portion (3, 4) which could arise when the frame legs (1, 2) are pressed together. <IMAGE>
