Abstract (en)
The apparatus according to the invention for the continuous crimping of thermoplastic yarns has at least one crimping nozzle with a conveying channel and a nozzle outlet orifice, and at least one pair of lateral guide means (21), for example needle rows, arranged around the circumference of a plug-conveying roller (2). For an apparatus in which a plurality of yarns are crimped in parallel, a plurality of pairs of guide means (21.1, 21.2) are arranged spaced axially from one another on the same plug-conveying roller (2). To prevent disturbing transverse flows, to equalise the aerodynamic conditions during plug formation in the region of the nozzle outlet orifice of the crimping nozzles and for the easy handlability of the plug-conveying roller, the pairs of guide means are screened off from one another and from the outside in the axial direction by guard rings (27.1, 27.2, 27.3) having an outside diameter equal to or larger than that of the pairs of guide means (21.1, 21.2). <IMAGE>

Die erfindungsgemässe Vorrichtung zum kontinuierlichen Kräuseln von thermoplastischen Fäden weist mindestens eine Kräuseldüse mit einem Förderkanal und einer Düsenaustrittsöffnung auf und mindestens eine um den Umfang einer Pfropfenförderwalze (2) angeordnete Paare von seitlichen Führungsmitteln (21), beispielsweise Nadelreihen. Für eine Vorrichtung, in der parallel mehrere Fäden gekräuselt werden, sind auf derselben Pfropfenförderwalze (2) mehrere Führungsmittelpaare (21.1, 21.2) in achsialer Richtung voneinander beabstandet angeordnet. Zur Verhinderung von störenden Querströmungen, zur Vergleichgmässigung der ärodynamischen Verhältnisse bei der Pfropfenbildung im Bereiche der Düsenaustrittsöffnung der Kräuseldüsen und zur problemlosen Manipulierbarkeit der Pfropfenförderwalze sind die Führungsmittelpaare durch Schutzringe (27.1, 27.2, 27.3), die einen gleichen oder grösseren Aussendurchmesser aufweisen als die Führungsmittelpaare (21.1, 21.2), in achsialer Richtung gegeneinander und gegen aussen abgeschirmt. <IMAGE>
