L'invention concerne un métier à filer préliminaire comprenant un plateau tournant (1) pour déposer les rubans de fibres dans les pots de filature (10). Le corps de base du plateau tournant est en fonte. L'invention vise à réduire le rebut lors de la fabrication du plateau tournant (1). L'invention présente la caractéristique suivante: un revêtement (7) est fixé au niveau du dessous du plateau tournant (1) et enrobe la surface du dessous. Le revêtement (7) consiste en une plaque de recouvrement qui se présente sous une forme préfabriquée sous différents aspects et est à fixer au plateau tournant.
