[origin: EP0572310A1] The present invention relates to gliders (runners) for the feet (legs) of furniture, seats or the like. The glider according to the invention is characterised essentially in that it includes a base 3 capable of assuming contact with the ground 5, an orifice 6 passing through the base, its end 8 opening out onto the ground including a reentrant shoulder 9, a pivot 10 extending down into the orifice over a length 11 less than the length of the orifice, a body 14 mounted so that it can slide in the orifice on the shoulder 9 side, one end 15 of the body projecting from the base 3, a spring 16 mounted in compression between the body and the pivot, and means 17, 18 for electrically connecting the two ends of the spring respectively to the pivot 10 and the body 14, the pivot 10, spring 16 and body 14 being made of an electrically conductive material. <IMAGE>
