Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9214878A1] A brushing machine has at least one driven cylinder with a plurality of holding devices mounted in its lateral disks. Each holding device is fitted with a different type of roughening roller and at least one holding device can be rotated by an adjusting device. The adjusting device has a lifting device (18; 18.1) which can be actuated in a controlled manner. A segment carrier (20; 20.1) is articulated to, and can be moved by, the lifting device (18; 18.1) between an initial position and an operating position which acts upon the holding device (1) to be rotated, at a given angle. In its working position, the segment carrier (20; 20.1) rests against a wheel (21) rigidly mounted on the holding device (1) to be rotated. The adjusting device is associated with a releasing device comprising a second lifting device (9; 9.1) which can be actuated in a controlled manner. An unlocking segment (10; 1.1) is articulated to, and can be moved by, the second lifting device (9; 9.1) between an initial position and a working position which releases the holding device (1) to be rotated, at a given angle. In its working position, the releasing segment (10; 10.1) is articulated to a stopping device (16; 22; 22.1) arranged on the holding device (1) to be rotated and releases the respective holding device (1) before the latter rotates.
