[origin: WO9312683A1] The invention concerns a ski boot with a device for selectively locking the boot upper, or a collar (4) round it, in a forwards-inclined position or releasing the upper or collar (4) so that it can swing to the rear. The device is designed in the form of a sliding knob (6) fitted in the upper or collar (4) and acting in conjunction with a pivoting lever (10). Sliding the knob (6) in a first direction (16) pivots the lever (10) into engagement with a stop (15) on the lower shell (2) of the boot, and sliding the knob (6) in the direction opposite to the first (16) pivots the lever (10) out of engagement with the stop (15). This gives a simple, compact design ensuring reliable locking in the forwards-inclined position and easy release for walking.
