[origin: WO9310890A1] A reactor for aerating a fluid with a gas comprises a mixing tank (12) for the fluid and a centrally located vertical draft tube (13) submerged in the fluid to divide the mixing tank (12) into an inner chamber (21) and an outer chamber (23). The reactor further comprises a motor driven axial flow impeller (14) located in the draft tube (13) for circulating fluid downwardly through the inner chamber (21) and upwardly through the outer chamber (23). The reactor further comprises an external circuit for withdrawing a portion of the fluid from the mixing tank (12), aerating the fluid, and returning the aerated fluid to the mixing tank (12). The aerator is in the form of a venturi device (17).

Réacteur servant à aérer un fluide à l'aide d'un gaz. Il comporte un réservoir de mélange (12) pour le fluide, et un tube aspirateur-diffuseur central et vertical (13) plongé dans le fluide de manière à diviser le réservoir de mélange (12) en une chambre intérieure (21) et une chambre extérieure (23). En outre, le réacteur comporte une roue hélice à flux axial (14) entraînée par moteur et située dans ledit tube (13) afin de faire circuler le fluide vers le bas dans la chambre intérieure (21) et vers le haut dans la chambre extérieure (23). Le réacteur comporte également un circuit externe servant à extraire une partie du fluide du réservoir de mélange (12), à aérer le fluide, et à le réintroduire dans le réservoir de mélange (12). L'aérateur a la forme d'un dispositif à venturi (17).
