[origin: EP0574296A1] The invention relates to a laundry dryer comprising a drum (3), in which the laundry is placed, the said drum being driven in rotation by means of a drive motor, a heating element (7) intended for raising the temperature of the air surrounding the laundry, a blade turbine intended for ventilating the heated air in the direction of the laundry, the said turbine being driven by a drive motor, and means for controlling the heating, which are intended, on the one hand, for allowing heating when the turbine rotates in a first direction (A) and, on the other hand, for interrupting the said heating when the turbine rotates in a second direction (B), characterised in that the means for controlling the heating consist of mechanical means and of a microcontact (14) placed in series with the heating element (7), the said mechanical means making it possible to control the opening and closing of the said microcontact. <IMAGE>
