[origin: EP0574375A1] A working chair, in particular an office chair, is described, having a seat surface (5), a backrest (6), and a supporting frame (1) which has a preferably height-adjustable bearing, which yields resiliently on all sides, for the seat surface (5). In order to achieve simple design conditions and an ergonomic posture in all sitting positions, the bearing (9) for the seat surface (5) is arranged in the rear third thereof, the loading line (10) of the spinal column running approximately through the centre of the bearing (9) in the neutral position of a chair user. <IMAGE>
