[origin: WO9215432A1] This invention relates to an apparatus in a saw mill enabling partly sawing logs to blocks, partly sawing blocks to boards and planks, the saw mill comprising an elongated, movable saw table, on which the log/the block is intended to rest, and a saw means, which is intended to carry out the sawing itself. According to the invention the apparatus comprises two hydraulically controllable holding means (4, 5) which are fastened on the saw table (1) at its one long side and are intended to hold the log when sawing the same to blocks, and a hydraulically controllable pressing means stationarily arranged outside the saw table for utilization when sawing blocks to boards and planks. Both the holding means (4, 5) and the pressing means (7) are possible to turn down to an active holding/pressing position and possible to turn up to an inactive resting position, the pressing means (7) being intended to take an inactive position, when the holding means (4, 5) take their active positions, and vice versa, whereby the holding means (4, 5) movable together with the saw table freely can pass the stationarily arranged pressing means (7).

L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif compris dans une scierie et permettant, d'une part, de scier des billes de bois en blocs et, d'autre part, de scier les blocs en panneaux et en planches; ladite scierie comprend une table de sciage mobile allongée, sur laquelle repose la bille ou le bloc, ainsi qu'un moyen de sciage conçu pour exécuter l'opération de sciage proprement dite. D'après l'invention, le dispositif comprend deux moyens de retenue à commande hydraulique (4, 5), fixés sur la table de sciage (1) sur le côté longitudinal de celle-ci et conçus pour maintenir la bille de bois quand elle est débitée en blocs, ainsi qu'un moyen de pression à commande hydraulique disposé fixe à l'extérieur de la table de sciage et s'utilisant lors du sciage en panneaux et en planches. On peut fermer les moyens de retenue (4, 5), ainsi que le moyen de pression (7) sur une position de pression/retenue active et les ouvrir en position inactive, ledit moyen de pression (7) étant conçu pour se trouver en position inactive quand les moyens de retenue (4, 5) sont en position active et vice et versa; de ce fait, les moyens de retenue (4, 5) mobiles avec la table de sciage peuvent passer librement devant le moyen de pression (7) disposé fixe.
