[origin: CH686383A5] On fitment of the final tunnel vault component, the keystone, high frictional forces occur between its profiled sealing strips and those of the tubbing already fitted which can move the profiled sealing strips in their longitudinal grooves. Each of the adjacent contact surfaces of the profiled sealing strips is given a coating (10) of harder material with a lubricant which diffuses at the surface. Additionally, whilst this measure prevents the profiled sealing strips moving, the strips are also anchored in their joints by means of anchoring ribs which engage with the walls of the groove (5) and, together with the applied lubricant, also prevent the strips moving longitudinally.
