[origin: EP0574712A2] Apparatus for compacting flat as well as hollow articles, which has a pressing device and a pressing container which has side walls. At least one of the side walls (15, 16, 17, 18) is arranged so that it can be removed and/or pivoted open. It is therefore very easily possible to insert a container or a pallet into the pressing container when the side walls have been removed or pivoted open. <IMAGE>
