[origin: EP0574877A1] The invention relates to a facade cladding comprising rectangular modules (1) fastened on a substructure. The substructure is constructed from vertical metal U-profiles (2) which are fastened on the facade (3) via U-shaped spacers (5) and have profile flanges (4) pointing away from the facade (3). The rectangular modules (1) are produced from sheet metal and, with the aid of securing bolts (8) engaging in bolt-receiving means (7), are fixed on the metal U-profiles (2) by means of bent-off sheet-metal edges (6). According to the invention, the metal U-profiles (2) are provided, in the region of their web (9), with at least one continuous recessed portion (10) which is open towards the profile flanges (4). Into the recessed portion (10) there can be introduced, in a longitudinally displaceably manner, securing bodies (11) which can be fixed in the recess portion (10) and into which the securing bolts (8), fastened on the sheet-metal edges (6) of the rectangular modules (1), can be hung. <IMAGE>
