[origin: EP0575266A1] The present invention relates to a device for stopping a washing-machine drum in a predetermined position, comprising a piece (16) rotatable about an axis (14) parallel to the axis of the drum and capable of assuming a position of rest, a position for intercepting a finger fixed to the drum and a final position; a first cam (21) of the rotary piece which is intended, in the interception position, for starting the motor of the drum and for stopping the motor as soon as the rotary piece moves away towards the final position in relation to its interception position; a brake (24) acting on the rotary piece, at least between the interception position and the final position; and a second motor actuated by a second cam (20) of the rotary piece, intended for bringing the latter from the position of rest towards the interception position and for bringing it towards the final position as soon as it is moved away towards the final position in relation to its interception position. <IMAGE>
