[origin: EP0575665A2] A disk player according to the present invention comprises a chassis having an opening provided in one side part of its front surface, a player body arranged in the other side part of the front surface of the chassis and comprising a playing mechanism such as an optical pickup, a plurality of disk mounting plates on which disks are to be respectively mounted, a magazine so containing the plurality of disk mounting plates that they can be individually pulled out and so loaded in said chassis that it can be inserted into and pulled out of one side part of said chassis such that the outer periphery of all disks contained in the magazine is in close proximity to a spindle table and a clamper opposed thereto in the player body, an elevator mechanism for aligning in the vertical direction selected one of the disks and the player body, and a loading device for pulling out the disk mounting plate on which the selected one disk is mounted and setting a disk receiving portion of the disk between the spindle table and the clamper opposed thereto in the player body. <IMAGE>
