[origin: EP0575781A2] A description is given of an electronic changeover device. This device consists of a transistor T2 which connects the battery B in a quartz or radio quartz alarm clock to a DC voltage via the emitter/collector junction. The base of the transistor T2 is driven by mutually offset pulses MOT 1, MOT 2 of the stepping timing motor M or by the buzzer control pulses, and a series resistor is constructed in the voltage supply for the purpose of starting the circuit. <IMAGE>
