[origin: EP0576111A1] In a file for receiving, in particular, non-perforated sheets, the inserted sheets are held by a clamping spring (1), the clamping legs (3, 4) of which have, at their ends, stops (5, 6) which are guided in guide troughs (13, 14) which are embossed in the front and rear covers (10, 8) of the file. The file spine (9) and the adjoining parts of the file covers (8, 10) can be used as a spreading aid for the clamping legs (3, 4). In order to secure the connection of the clamping spring (1) to the file, use is made of protrusions (7) on the stops (5, 6) of the clamping legs (3, 4).
