[origin: EP0576332A1] The invention relates to a crimp head comprising at least one knurling wheel (3) for crimping the lid (1b) of a food tin (1). The knurling wheel (3) is guided along a path surrounding the tin (1) by means of a support piece (4) which includes a hub (4a) driven in rotation about the axis (X) of the crimp head, as well as a head (4d) carrying a journal (9) on which are mounted, on the same axis (Z), a cylindrical roller (10) rolling over a cam surface (7a) and a domed roller (11) rolling over a countercam surface (7b) inclined by a small angle (F). The position of the journal (9) and of the rollers (10, 11) can be adjusted according to the axis (Z) in order to make it possible to take up the guide tolerance (clearance). <IMAGE>
