Abstract (en)

In order to insure that a fixing solution will be imparted to a fibrous material (6) in an optimal amount, an accompanying strip (7) that has been impregnated with the fixing solution is brought into contact with fibrous material (6) that has been dried after printing or impregnation with dyeing paste or dyeing solution while, at the same time, the fibrous material (6) and the strip (7) are pressed together so that the fixing solution is imparted to the fibrous material in an amount of 15 to 60 wt%.
