Abstract (en)

Process for the combined injection of pulverised coal and of a gaseous oxidising agent into a crucible of a shaft furnace, especially a blast furnace, through a hot blast tuyere. At the mouth opening of the tuyere into the crucible the pulverised coal is injected into the hot blast in the form of a hollow annular jet and the gaseous oxidising agent is injected inside the hollow annular jet. A lance for making use of the process comprises two coaxial pipes (16 and 18) and a distribution block provided with a central bore (52) for the pulverised coal. <IMAGE>

Abstract (fr)

On présente un procédé pour l'injection combinée de charbon pulvérisé et d'un comburant gazeux dans un creuset d'un four à cuve, notamment un haut fourneau, à travers une tuyère à vent chaud. Au niveau de l'embouchure de la tuyère dans le creuset, on injecte le charbon pulvérisé dans le vent chaud sous forme d'un jet annulaire creux, et on injecte le comburant gazeux à l'intérieur du jet annulaire creux. Une lance pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé comprend deux tubes coaxiaux (16 et 18) et un bloc de distribution muni d'un alésage central (52) pour le charbon pulvérisé. <IMAGE>
