Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a device for treating foundry sand, the speed of the rotor (2) and/or the drum (1) and the resulting impact, shearing and frictional forces being matched to the surface hardness of the quartz grains to be treated, which changes during the process. For simplicity of emptying, the drum 1 consists of two halves (10, 20) split transversely to the axis of rotation. In addition, the drum has a sand inlet (90) and an extractor. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zur Behandlung von Giesserei-Formsand, wobei die Geschwindigkeit des Rotors (2) und/oder der Trommel (1) und die daraus resultierenden Schlag-, Scher- und Scheuerkräfte der während der Prozessdauer sich ändernden Oberflächenhärte der zu behandelnden Quarzkörner angepasst sind. Für eine einfach Entleerung besteht die Trommel 1 aus zwei quer zur Drehachse getrennten Trommelhälften (10, 20). Ausserdem weist die Trommel einen Sandeinlauf (90) und eine Absaugvorrichtung auf. <IMAGE>
