[origin: EP0576924A1] The hospital bed accommodates in an undercarriage (1) a vertically adjustable and/or inclination-adjustable bed frame (3) possessing four standing feet (2), the standing feet (2) of the undercarriage (1) each being assigned a wheel (5) which can be lowered into the bed travelling position and lifted into the bed standing position on a separate guide (4) mounted on the undercarriage (1) beside the standing feet (2). Each wheel (5) is mounted on the vertically movable sliding part (6) of a telescopic guide (4) fixed to the undercarriage (1), and each telescopic guide (4) is assigned a toggle lever (9) which is articulately connected, on the one hand, to the fixed telescopic part (7) and, on the other hand, to the vertically displaceable sliding part (6); the toggle lever (9) is connected, in one longitudinal end region of the bed, at its connecting pivot (10) to a motor drive (7) and, in the other longitudinal end region of the bed, at its connecting pivot (10a) is motionally coupled to the motor-driven connecting pivot (10) by at least one push-and-pull-rod (12). <IMAGE>
