In a method for controlling the combustion in a combustion chamber of a furnace, in which fuel is charged onto a longitudinally extending fire grate and transported essentially along the grate extent while spreading out to form a fuel bed which essentially covers the grate and the grate is acted upon along the grate extent by zones by part flows of a combustion-air flow, and in which at least the charging quantity of the fuel, the transport speed of the fuel bed and/or the quantity of the combustion air is controlled, depending upon at least one parameter which can be related to the combustion, if appropriate the combustion chamber temperature and/or the waste gas composition as measurement values, if appropriate according to fuzzy logic, it is envisaged, in order to reduce the risk of overheated harmful-substance emissions by acting on the combustion process, that the measurement values originating from at least two individual zones are detected and the part flows assigned to the individual zones are controlled individually according to fuzzy logic depending upon the distribution over the surface of the detected measurement values. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zum Regeln der Verbrennung in einem Feuerraum einer Feuerungsanlage, in der Brennstoff auf ein sich längs erstreckendes Feuerrost aufgegeben und im wesentlichen längs der Roststrecke unter Ausbreitung zu einem das Rost im wesentlichen abdeckenden Brennstoffbett transportiert wird und das Rost längs der Roststrecke von Teilströmen eines Verbrennungsluftstroms zonenweise beaufschlagt wird und bei dem zumindest die Aufgabemenge des Brennstoffes, die Transportgeschwindigkeit des Brennstoffbetts und/oder die Menge der Verbrennungsluft in Abhängigkeit von mindestens einem auf die Verbrennung beziehbaren Parameter, ggf. der Feuerraumtemperatur und/oder der Abgaszusammensetzung als Meßwerte ggf. nach der Fuzzy-Logik geregelt wird, ist um die Gefahr überhöhter Schadstoffemissionen unter Einwirkung auf den Verbrennungsvorgang zu verringern vorgesehen, daß die von mindestens zwei einzelnen Zonen ausgehenden Meßwerte erfaßt und die den einzelnen Zonen zugeordneten Teilströme in Abhängigkeit von der flächenmäßigen Verteilung der erfaßten Meßwerte einzeln nach der Fuzzy-Logik geregelt werden. <IMAGE>
