Abstract (en)

The hollow profiled metal bar, esp. made of aluminium is for use in double-glazing, and has a lengthwise weld seam (12a). The seam is formed in a retracted portion of the profile, where it is concealed. There can also be a second retracted portion (8b) on the opposite side of the bar, and which is a mirror image of the first one (8). The bar can have two parallel sidewalls (6), and two other walls (7) at right angles to them with the retracted portions form ed in them and running centrally in the lengthwise direction.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sprossenhohlprofil aus Metall, insbesondere Aluminium, mit einer längsverlaufenden Schweißnaht (12a) für eine Isolierverglasung. Erfindungsgemäß ist es vorgesehen, daß die Schweißnaht (12a) in einer Profileinziehung (8) optisch verdeckt angeordnet ist. Ferner wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Sprossenhohlprofils vorgeschlagen, demnach es vorgesehen ist, daß unmittelbar nach dem Schweißen in das Rohr eine Profileinziehung im Bereich der Schweißnaht derart eingeformt wird, daß die Schweißnaht sich am Boden der Profileinziehung von außen unsichtbar befindet.
