[origin: EP0577198A1] The capped electric lamp has a lamp vessel (1) with a neck-shaped portion (2) which is clampingly surrounded by a metal sleeve (10). A fixation member (20) having tongues (21) is kept fixed by the cap (30). The tongues (21) are welded to the sleeve (10) in its welding zone (12). Spaced apart tags (17) are present at the welding zone allowing a tool to bring opposite welding lugs (16) present in clamping zones (13, 14) against each other to be connected by a welded joint. The welding zone (12) may be raised so as to be cleared from the glass surrounded. The clamping zones (13, 14) may have several hair pin bents (15). The sleeve (10) may have funnel shaped projections (18) facing the lamp vessel (1) to allow for an easy introduction of the neck shaped portion (2).
