[origin: EP0577376A2] A printing apparatus includes a vibrating wave drive which cooperates with a vibratory rail in which support bases are provided to only the two end portions of a vibrating rail, and the rail is fixed on a third bottom plate via the bases, so that a portion, excluding the two end portions, of the vibrating rail extends over a moving path of a sheet.
