[origin: EP0577456A1] Rotary propeller stirrers comprising a number of blades arranged approximately perpendicularly to the stirrer shaft. To reduce the magnitude of the radial currents generated by the rotation of the stirrer and to increase its efficiency, each blade has, in relation to a plane perpendicular to the stirrer axis (15), an inclination (a, b) which increases progressively or in stages from the leading edge (24) to the trailing edge (26) and the end of the blades (28, 30) is folded in the downstream direction, taking into account the direction of flow of the liquid moved by the blades. <IMAGE>
