[origin: EP0577467A1] The present invention relates to a hybrid cable for transmitting data and transmitting power, comprising two multistrand power conductors (2, 11) and a plurality of insulated multistrand electrical data-transmission conductors (6). The first power conductor (2) occupies an axial position along the cable (1) and is covered by a first insulating jacket (5) and then by the data-transmission conductors (6) wound helically around the latter. Moreover, the strands (10) forming the second power conductor (11) are wound helically over a second insulating jacket (9) covering the data-transmission conductors (6). Finally, an outer protective sheath (13, 14) surrounds the second power conductor (11). <IMAGE>
