[origin: EP0577472A1] The coin lock device includes a drawer (1) sliding in a box (2) counter to a return spring, the drawer (1) includes a housing (5) for a deposit coin of predetermined type, the box (2) includes a lock (10) for a key (3) or similar coupling element. The drawer (1) slides substantially perpendicularly to the direction of insertion of the key (3) into a slot of the box (2). A clipping element integral with the box (2) retains the drawer (1) in a stable intermediate position in which the key (3) and the drawer (1) are simultaneously trapped by the box (2). Application to coin locks for trolleys which nest inside another. <IMAGE>
