[origin: EP0577917A1] A rail-suspended electric conveyor (1) has a rail (4) with I-shaped cross-section and horizontal running faces (2, 3) lying opposite one another. A carrying vehicle (5) can be moved along the rail (4), the carrying vehicle (5) having at least one motor-driven drive roller (6, 16) which rolls on an upper horizontal running face (2). One set of load gear (7) is pivotably mounted on the carrying vehicle (5) in order to compensate inclinations of the rail (4) and at least one contact roller (9, 18) can be pressed against the rail (4) as a function of the angle of inclination of the load gear (7). In order to improve the control of a contact force exerted by the contact roller (9, 18), the contact roller (9, 18) is rotatably mounted at one upper end of a bearing lever (12, 19) which is pivotably mounted with its lower end on the carrying vehicle (5), the bearing lever (12, 19) being connected to an actuation device (13) in order to pivot as a function of the angle of inclination. <IMAGE>
